Changes
- Add optional Stable Page Numbers (EPUB) using CrossInk/Inky x-locations metadata: a fixed whole-book reference total with an approximate current page and safe chapter-page fallback (#207). Enable under Reader > Customise Status Bar; metadata generation is not included.
- Add Controls > Long Power Button Press > Reading Stats. Back resumes the book; statistics visits do not count as reading time. Sleep remains the default (#207).
- Generate both text antialiasing masks in one strip traversal when memory permits, retaining the two-pass fallback and existing panel waveforms/image grayscale (#229). Hardware speed improvements remain unmeasured.
- Correct the OPDS HTTPS preflight introduced in 1.6.5.6: X3/X4 feeds no longer use unrelated wolfSSL thresholds before attempting esp_http_client connections. Retain SD staging and failure cleanup (#228).
- All 898 native tests and simulator regressions pass, including nine reference-page tests, fourteen reference-page/button scenarios, 30,720 glyph-mask comparisons and 21 grayscale simulator boots. Both C3 builds pass the 97.5% flash budget. Physical X3/X4 timing, appearance, buttons, OTA/SD and the reporter's Grimmory catalog remain pending. One shared ESP32-C3 binary for X4/X3; no X4 Pro assets.
