Fixed
- Liveness probe no longer keeps a WireGuard tunnel alive after the last
SSH session closes. The status-dot probe rides a connection's tunnel to
test reachability, but it was also renewing the tunnel's idle-stop timer on
every probe. A tunnel that an SSH session had brought up therefore stayed up
for as long as the folder stayed expanded, so closing every session did not
bring the VPN down - the tunnel lingered minutes past its last real use. The
probe now only rides an existing tunnel; once the last session closes, the
tunnel reaches its 2-minute idle-stop regardless of expanded folders, and a
WG-only host behind a stopped tunnel simply shows no dot (unknown) rather
than being kept online just to stay lit. - macOS dock icon is now consistent whether the app is running or not. The
icon had a transparent background, so macOS painted its own grey rounded
backing when the app was not running and none while it was - two different
looks. The macOS icon now ships a solid dark rounded (squircle) background,
so it looks the same in both states. Windows and Linux keep their
transparent icons, matching each platform's convention.
Added
- Setting: "Keep the WireGuard tunnel warm while probing" (Settings ->
Liveness, off by default). When on, the liveness probe keeps an open tunnel
up while its folder stays expanded, so it is ready for a quick reconnect - at
the cost of the VPN staying up with no active session. The probe still never
brings a tunnel up on its own; it only maintains one a session established.
Internal
- The icon source vector now lives in the repo (
build/appicon.svgmaster and
build/appicon-macos.svgfor the squircle build), so future icon changes
regenerate from one source instead of tracing a raster.
