Crucible Version 0.8.4 - "V13 Beta 14"

Welcome to version 0.8.4 of the Crucible system - ongoing development towards the eventual goal of "playable beta". This release specifically supports the Ember Beta release version 0.4.2 and upcoming version 0.4.3. This release adds a bunch of content changes as well as some improvements to UI/UX of existing sheets.

API Changes

  • Remove action tags for resources other than health and morale since those tags cannot function properly without hook automation #450
  • Improve the <crucible-currency> element to have a better-flowing presentation for readonly display #549

Content Updates

Weapon Training

  • Heavy Weapon Training now provides the Heavy Strike action, which is removed as a standalone talent.
  • Unarmed Combat Training now provides the Grapple action, and the Wrestler talent is removed.
  • Shield Combat Training now provides the Shield Bash action, which is removed as a standalone talent.
  • Natural Weapon Training now provides a new action, Wild Strike.
  • Light Weapon Training now provides the Lunge action, which is removed as a standalone talent.
  • Mechanical Weapon Training now provides the Rapid Reload action which is removed as a standalone talent.
  • Projectile Weapon Training now provides the new Quick Draw action.
  • Talisman Weapon Training now provides the Refocus action which is no longer available by default to anyone wielding a Talisman.

  • Added Last Stand as a Toughness-based Heroism spender
  • Added Unshakeable Poise as a Wisdom-based Heroism spender
  • Added Decisive Action as an Intellect-based Heroism spender
  • Added Slipstep as a Dexterity-based Heroism spender
  • Added Adrenaline Surge as a Strength-based Heroism spender
  • Added the Sorcerer signature talent
  • Added the Inflection: Elude metamagic talent

  • Smithing Novice moved from str0b to str0a
  • Armored Efficiency moved from str0a to str0b
  • Shield Combat Training moved from tou0b to tou0a
  • True Grit moved from tou0a to tou0b
  • Reworked Rallying Cry as a more effective Heroism spender
  • The Bard signature talent changes from Presence+Intellect to Presence+Dexterity
