Minor Changes

• Templates and new notes work across the folders of a multi-root workspace (#1711):

  • A template filepath that starts with / and a folder's name creates the note in that folder: /knowledge-base/inbox/idea.md goes in inbox/ inside knowledge-base. The same template works when that folder is opened on its own.
  • The new-note and daily-note templates are found in any workspace folder, checked in order.
  • Foam: Create New Note From Template uses the exact template you picked, and shows its folder when two templates share a name.
  • $FOAM_PREVIOUS_DAILY_NOTE looks for daily notes in the folder the template path names.

  In @foam/core, findFirstTemplate is exported and FoamWorkspace gains resolveNoteUri.

Patch Changes

• Notes in a folder created, moved or renamed outside VS Code — by git, a sync tool or a file manager — are now picked up, and notes under a folder's old name no longer linger in the workspace.

• The Placeholders panel lists wikilink placeholders again, and no longer hides placeholders outside foam.files.include (#1702). foam.placeholders.exclude still applies.

  In @foam/core, PlaceholderMatcher is exported.
