Animal Crossing PC Port v0.9.1.1

This release contains no game assets. Requires a USA disc image (GAFE01, ISO/GCM/CISO). Always keep a backup of your save files.

Changes

  • Added more framerate options, introduced a max 960 fps limit.
  • Memory handling (Thanks to @Cuyler36's suggestion) and crash handler improvements.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Tom Nook failing to spawn in a new town.
  • Fixed lighthouse-related buffer overflow.
  • Bunch of delta-time fixes.

Notes

  • The default frame-rate is still 60. Make sure to change it in the settings if your monitor supports higher frame-rates.
  • Also I realized I pretty much never cleared this up in anywhere. If you are using a texture pack, enabling the preload/cache option will eliminate the stutters. First start will take a while to create the cache (you can follow the progress from the window title), should be instant afterwards. This will take an additional 1-2 GB of drive space.
  • Expect bugs. Still a playtest!

Getting Started

  1. Extract the zip
  2. Place your disc image in the rom/ folder
  3. Run AnimalCrossing.exe
