Nook 0.1.1
Reliability release — reordering rebuilt on how macOS 27 actually works, overflow rescue, multi-display animations.
Fixed
- Editor reordering now moves the real bar, reliably. The original mechanism (agent plist rewrite + restart) turned out not to apply to live items at all — live order is held by each app's own status-item registration. Nook now performs the move the way you would: a synthetic ⌘-drag, with the plist kept as a hint for future registrations. Drops apply in ~1s with no menu bar restart.
- Items trapped in the native overflow (« chevron) can now be placed. Dropping one in the editor expands the overflow inline and drags it directly; background placements use a two-phase rescue that extracts the item on the next hide and slots it exactly on reveal.
- Reordering while Settings is open no longer waits for the window to close.
- Multi-display: hide/reveal animations now play on every display, not just the primary — with correct scale on non-Retina externals.
- Quitting is faster and no longer blocks the main thread while the assertion is dropped.
- No more spurious "menu bar restored" flash on cold boot.
Internal
- Large architecture refactor: pure, unit-tested cores for section adoption, editor item building, placement geometry, and item-ID grammar (89 tests, up from 44).
- App Store category set (Utilities).
