Added
- ARM64 Linux Builds: Releases now include an ARM64 (aarch64) Linux binary and
.deb, signed like the other builds, and the in-app updater uses them on ARM64 Linux. - Flatpak on FlatPark: FerrisPad is available as a Flatpak from FlatPark for Fedora, Arch, openSUSE and other distributions. It installs the official release binary and updates with
flatpak update.
Fixed
- Updates on Other Architectures: The in-app updater no longer offers a binary built for a different CPU architecture. Before, FerrisPad built from source on ARM64 Linux was offered the x86_64 binary, which would not start after the update. When no binary is published for your platform, the update dialog links to the release page instead.
- Update Dialog in Flatpak: Inside a Flatpak, the update dialog no longer says updates come from Flathub. It points to
flatpak updateor your software store.
Changed
- Tagline: The About dialog,
--help, the desktop entry and the package description now read "A minimalist text editor written in Rust".
