Info

This release is mainly focused on improving the whole experience in the notes editor.
I have refactored a lot. Worked around keeping styling consistent between the edit mode and view mode, on top of improving upon the tool bar and overall mobile experience.
The codeblock has been entirely replaced with a more stable, less buggy - overall better - option.

On top of that I have worked on adding shortcuts to both the app and the note editor, this should allow you to avoid using the mouse as much and focus on your typing.

There are still some quirks I want to fix, however this release also fixes a MAJOR BUG around the categories. Editing category name WILL erase all the notes within said category, so I suggest you update your local instance as soon as you can. I am so sorry about that, it slipped past my testing. Fixed as soon as it was raised, which is why this release is earlier than I anticipated.

Changelog

bugfixes

  • Codeblock behaviour. Rebuilt the whole codeblock to work consistently across all modes #96 #94 #93 #91
  • Finally sort out markdown checklist within notes #48
  • Continue improving standardisation of markdown #12
  • Finally fix the annoying install app pop up to be smaller and less invasive on desktop
  • Fix MAJOR bug where renaming categories would empty note/checklist content. SO SORRY ABOUT THAT ONE.

features

  • Add ability to tab in codeblock like you would in a IDE (so damn cool)
  • Unlimited sub list items by tabbing the editor
  • Masonry layout for latest notes with ability to enable/disable markdown preview from settings
  • Add user made icon to repo (THANK YOU QuintonAjStevens ) #97
  • Add a whole range of shortcuts for the app and note editors (I love this one!!)
  • Add support for custom syntax check here for more info
  • Add help icon to header, this will open a modal with a few tutorials. The app is getting quite rich in features, so it's worth to have a little quick guide always available. This does not work in Docker mode yet. I'll sort it out by next release. Sorry about that.

still todo

  • Fix oidc group issue #78
  • Unit testing / e2e testing
