What's New
- Let AI agents edit and export your recordings: Claude Code, Codex and other MCP clients can trim, cut words and silences, import media and export through Screendrop (Settings → MCP)
- Pick the recording area in place: the area stays editable after you draw it, with handles, an exact size or a locked ratio, and Screendrop remembers your last area
- Cursor styles in Studio: the macOS arrow, four vector arrows and two circles (transparent or frosted), with an inverted look, and a crisp pointing hand that stays sharp in exports
- A rebuilt Studio timeline: solid, rounded blocks that are easier to grab, move and trim, stop at their neighbours, and land exactly where you draw them, plus a playhead that turns into a flag at the end
- A new crop for screenshots and videos: handles sit inside the box so they stay easy to grab, drag outside it to start a new selection, nudge with the arrow keys, Shift keeps the ratio and Option resizes from the centre
- The screenshot editor's canvas now moves without overshooting
- The Library uses much less memory, and Similar captures load faster
- Large recordings now upload to Screendrop Cloud in parts, so shares over 100 MB no longer fail. Thanks to @justin-schroeder for the fix!
