πŸͺŸ Version 1.1.2400 β€” stable release

Build date: 2026-09-05 Β· Licence: GPL-3.0 (the card moved from MIT to the GNU GPL v3 earlier this year; the About tab and the HACS info page now say so too)

This is the first stable release since 1.1.2330 (8 August 2026). Everything below shipped as pre-releases in between and is now the version every HACS user receives. The full, per-build history lives in docs/version-history/versionsverlauf.md.

Wall tablets

  • Height ladder. The card measures the window and retreats in stages instead of cutting off at the bottom: full β†’ compact (small tiles flatten) β†’ the small tiles are dropped β†’ the page scrolls. Search panel and detail view follow the same height. Fixes the most-reported open issue.
  • Screensaver, complete. Return to the locked clock page after idle; deep rest dims the page after further stillness (burn-in drift, night coupling to your quiet hours); wake sources (motion or presence sensors, a doorbell, critical alerts); display handoff (switch a screen entity off on sleep and on on wake, plus optional scripts); photo frame (the picture behind the clock cycles through your wallpaper folder).
  • "You already updated, this tab did not." A quiet line with a Reload button appears only when this browser provably runs older code than Home Assistant has installed. Never an advert for a release.
  • Kiosk mode re-applies itself when Home Assistant rebuilds its frame; hiding the header gives its space back.

Notifications and the house

  • Reminders as a notification source: overdue and due-today tasks, events starting soon, an evening reminder for tomorrow's all-day events.
  • Severe weather alerts as a notification source, with the banner for free.
  • Context lines in the idle typing loop and on the locked page ("Um 10:00 Zahnarzt", "2 Aufgaben heute fΓ€llig").
  • Critical alerts get a double tone (opt-in) and a snooze menu.
  • House timeline as the Verlauf tab of the Notification Center: what changed in the house, folded, with family and room chips and "by whom"; a "Zuletzt im Haus" tile on the start page; state texts speak device classes ("Fenster offen" instead of "Aktiv").

Calendar

  • Groups of calendars with colours and icons, event rules (colour, icon, dim, badge or hide by title/location/description, source, all-day, past), person lanes.
  • Week as day columns with the same ladder: seven columns β†’ compact β†’ drop trailing days β†’ the classic week view as the floor. Empty days stay visible.
  • All-day events are parsed as local days (a one-day event no longer spans two days east of Greenwich).

To-dos

  • Live updates from other devices, undo for deletions, identical overdue chores collapse into one row ("3Γ— fΓ€llig", ticking completes all), the add row searches existing items while you type, a person per list using the calendar's people, and dictate a task via Assist speech-to-text (or the browser's recognition) β€” the text lands in the field, never submitted on its own.

Charts

  • Period comparison: the previous period as a ghost series with a delta computed from the buckets.

Under the hood

  • Full audit round: roughly 60 % fewer renders at rest, icon registry and device configs split, dead CSS removed, PurgeCSS guard in the pre-commit hook, settings-store factory, throttled typing search.
  • Depth transition between search and detail, one shared glass window for all forms, calendar/todo dialogs as form twins.
  • Fixes in this window include: the profile pages in the to-dos settings had lost their Done button; a lone caret could stand in the search bar after returning from a detail view; the About tab's build date was stale; several PurgeCSS class-name traps.

Upgrading

Nothing to configure. New features are off or conservative by default (screensaver, photo frame, weather alerts and reminders live in Settings β†’ Start Screen / Notifications). If the card looks unchanged after updating, the new stale-code line will tell you β€” or reload the page once.
