KCD1VR 0.1.67 — flat dialogue screen
This is the first public experimental release of KCD1VR, a true-stereo D3D11/OpenXR conversion for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It renders both eyes every game frame and does not use alternating-eye rendering (AER).
Highlights
- Native dual-render stereo with OpenXR head orientation, position, real IPD, and asymmetric per-eye FOV.
- Head-locked HUD and menus.
- Dialogues now appear on one comfortable monoscopic virtual screen, fixing the doubled character and clipped dialogue text without changing normal gameplay or menu rendering.
- F11 headset recentering and an optional vertical-camera-input comfort lock.
- Central view-dependent object blinking reduced with the validated coverage-buffer reprojection setting.
- VR-safe F6–F10 shader isolation tool remains available for diagnostics.
- Experimental NVIDIA DLSS quality and model-preset selection, including model K.
Compatibility
- Confirmed in-headset with the Steam KCD 1.9.7 executable.
- Direct3D 11 and an active OpenXR runtime are required.
- Other game builds are not yet validated; the hooks are version-specific.
- Motion controllers are not implemented. Use keyboard/mouse or a normal gamepad.
- DLSS is experimental and may offer little net performance improvement. Native rendering remains a supported option.
