"Stable builds only" really goes back to the stable build
Since 0.14.4 the DLSS 5 add-on's newest build is a release candidate, 8.5.0-rc10. If a game doesn't agree with it, ticking "stable builds only" under Show advanced options is meant to put it back on the newest stable build (6.5.3).
It didn't. An older rule kept any build newer than the newest stable one, and the update check hid the downgrade. That rule is gone. With stable builds only, a game on a release candidate now shows UPDATE, and Install or Update takes it back to 6.5.3. In a DirectX 11 game that also brings back dlss5-bridge, which the builds before 8 need (#116).
If a game crashes at start after updating
- Select the game and press Update. This also removes the
EnableHooks=1line that the short-lived 0.14.3 wrote in Streamline games; the add-on warns that line can crash a game at start. - Still crashing: press Not working? Try the next setup. That switches the game to ShortFuse's add-on, and it stays there.
- Or tick stable builds only and press Install to go back to 6.5.3.
Everything from v0.14.5 is included.
