Two new choices: which OptiScaler build, and which DLSS 5 add-on build.
OptiScaler: pre-SR multipass fork (#72)
Pick the OptiScaler engine and a build row appears:
OPTISCALER BUILD [ Stable ] [ Pre-SR multipass · experimental ]
Stable is Dagherbou's build — the network runs after super resolution, and it is what most people are running. Pre-SR multipass installs wilsjo2/OptiScaler-DLSSNR-PreSR-Multipass, where the network runs before super resolution, on the smaller image, in one to three configurable passes.
Its zip has the same layout as Dagherbou's, so it installs through the same step. Two caveats: it is a ~160 MB download (it ships its own quantised weights), and it is genuinely experimental — labelled that way for real reasons.
Both forks also publish a rolling nightly release whose assets are .7z, and the stable ones ship a checksum .txt beside the zip. Asset selection no longer takes whichever asset is listed first — it looks for the zip.
Crash or driver reset with DLSS 5 on? Pin the classic add-on (#69)
The Feeder's own host measured renodx-dlss5 v4.7 to fault inside the driver's NGX runtime on NVIDIA driver 616.64 — an access violation in D3D12Core.dll reached through nvngx_dlssnr.dll — and names build 4.55 as one that passes there. The installer always fetched the newest build, so there was no way to act on that.
A tick on the ReShade route now pins it:
Black screen, crash or driver reset with DLSS 5 on? Install the classic add-on build (4.55)
The other two things that reportedly work on that driver: driver 616.56, or Deep Fried Chicken as the neural consumer.
