Fixes the level 2-2 soccer-enemy crash encountered above 60 FPS on game version 1.00. The fix has been confirmed in user testing.
The enemy's animation budgets now use the original console timing units, so higher frame rates no longer shorten the allowed animation time. Rendering and elapsed-time integration remain variable-rate; the game is not capped to 60 FPS by this fix. The animation-resource checks and assertion remain enabled.
Includes upstream AstroQuest 0.20 and the existing PC VR improvements:
- A separate Vulkan headset queue where supported, with explicit synchronization to reduce contention with game rendering.
- Faster recovery to full frame rate after a slowdown, retaining the existing backoff behavior.
- SteamVR startup compatibility and runtime-aware idle-session handling.
- A launcher with resolution, maximum FPS and field-of-view controls, plus frame-path diagnostics.
The soccer-enemy patch checks the expected executable bytes before applying and currently covers game 1.00 only. Game 1.04 remains supported by the emulator but does not receive this patch. To disable the patch for comparison, add env=SHADPS4_TITLE_SOCCER_TIMING=0 to pc-vr/settings.txt.
Validation: targeted patch checks against the actual game 1.00 executable, SteamVR startup, and user confirmation of the previously crashing level 2-2 encounter. This does not establish that every other crash is resolved; the previously observed SteamVR disconnect/cleanup issue remains unverified.

The executable is identical to the tested prerelease; packaging and release documentation were updated. Source: f54f39c3289efe786df38ca38dd812720888eae6.
