Updated AstroQuest 0.20 PC VR build with a Full framerate option, two higher rendering resolutions and improved Windows presentation timing.
- Full framerate (headset refresh) is the default in the FPS selector. Fixed FPS choices remain available. Set the headset refresh rate in SteamVR or Virtual Desktop.
- Added 3960 x 4224 and 4320 x 4608 per-eye rendering choices. The initial resolution remains 3600 x 3840. The runtime may resample submitted images to its swapchain limits.
- VR presentation uses a reusable high-resolution Windows timer, checks completed frames more frequently, and adjusts polling when the runtime refresh rate changes. This targets scheduling jitter; a gameplay reduction in judder has not yet been confirmed.
- Retains the user-confirmed level 2-2 soccer-enemy crash fix for game 1.00, upstream 0.20 features, separate headset Vulkan queue, and SteamVR compatibility fixes. The soccer-enemy patch is not applied to game 1.04.
Simplified download: the ZIP includes only Play AstroQuest.bat as a batch launcher. Alternate launchers and diagnostic .bat files are omitted.
Validation: launcher tests and menu layout checks passed; SteamVR startup at 4320 x 4608 remained running for 45 seconds without a critical error. Higher settings do not guarantee a new frame on every refresh. The previously observed SteamVR disconnect/cleanup crash remains unverified as fixed.
Extract the complete AstroQuest-0.20-PC-VR-Windows-Updated.zip and run Play AstroQuest.bat. Supply your own CUSA12392 game dump (1.00 or 1.04). Back up your existing installation and saves before updating. No game files, saves, keys or personal logs are included.
