Rebindable controls
Each of the Game Boy's eight buttons — Up, Down, Left, Right, A, B, Start and Select — takes a
keyboard key and a controller button of your choosing. A moved button carries both of its meanings,
so moving A moves the clockwise rotation and the menu's confirm together.
The controls screen lists the eight buttons with a key column and a pad column. Choose a cell and
press the key or button you want; one another button already holds swaps with it, and Escape leaves
the binding as it was. Controller buttons are bound by where they sit on the pad and named as your
pad prints them. Restore defaults puts every binding back, after asking, and is dimmed while there
is nothing to restore.
The defaults are the controls every earlier release shipped, so nothing changes until you change it.
Settings, page one
The first settings page now reads Display, Palette, Controls and Exit Game. Display
holds fullscreen and the window size. Palette holds the palette selector with a swatch of its four
colors and the seven pieces drawn in it, so you see the game's own art in a palette before you leave.
Existing settings and top scores carry forward untouched.
Windows: the download is unsigned, so SmartScreen will warn about an unrecognized publisher.
Choose More info → Run anyway. Signing is coming in a later release.
