Overview

Important

All node operators should upgrade to this release. It contains a bug fix for the eth_capabilities endpoint.

Other changes

RPC

  • eth_capabilities no longer advertises history below the Bedrock block. On OP Mainnet it reported blocks, tx, receipts, logs and state from block 0, so clients routing by eth_capabilities sent pre-Bedrock requests to nodes that cannot answer them. Every resource now reports an oldestBlock no lower than the Bedrock block, also with --rollup.historicalrpc set. Chains with Bedrock at genesis are unaffected (#23718)
