Overview
Note
kona-node is not production-ready. Production deployments should use op-node.
Other changes
Derivation
- Singular batches whose parent hash does not match the L2 safe head are now dropped with a
parent hash does not match L2 safe headwarning, and the channel is flushed, as op-node does under Holocene. Previously kona-node replaced the parent hash of every singular batch with the safe head's hash before checking it, so such a batch, for example one built on an unsafe block that was later reorged out, was accepted and could leave kona-node with a different safe head from op-node (#23071)
Bug fixes
- kona-node now decodes deposit transactions whose
isSystemTxfield op-geth reports as a JSON boolean, which previously failed to parse. Only deposits in pre-Regolith blocks carry the flag, so no chain in the superchain registry is affected (#22946)
