Changes 11/05/2026 (v3.42.0)
release(v3.42.0): harden administrator OIDC discovery testing
Security hardening
- Limited administrator-supplied OIDC provider URLs to HTTP and HTTPS without embedded credentials, query parameters, or fragments, preventing use of other PHP stream wrappers.
- OIDC discovery responses are now capped at 1 MiB with limited redirects, and failure responses no longer expose raw PHP fetch errors, failed destination URLs, or samples from returned JSON.
- Discovery URL handling now recognizes only the exact
/.well-known/openid-configurationpath suffix instead of matching that text anywhere in the URL.
Documentation
- Documented that the administrator-only discovery test intentionally sends an outbound request from the FileRise server and supports HTTP, HTTPS, local, container-network, and private-network OIDC providers.
Upgrade notes
- Existing HTTP and private-network OIDC providers remain supported. Provider URLs containing URL credentials, query parameters, or fragments must be replaced with the provider's standard issuer URL.
- No account, OIDC identity binding, file, permission, storage, Docker volume, or configuration migration is required.
