boringssl-dlls-0.20251204.0-x64.zip is for the 64-bit version.
These DLLs were compiled from the latest branch of BoringSSL (as of December 4th, 2025) with MinGW-w64 and their code was modified to include support for Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8.
If you'd rather use OpenSSL instead of BoringSSL, then you can download the appropriate installer from Shining Light Productions.
Both BoringSSL and OpenSSL will add support for newer cryptographic protocols (TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3) on older systems.
