Breaking changes and migrations

  • Project trails are the default: entire trail always uses project-scoped trails, and ENTIRE_PROJECT_TRAILS is no longer read. entire trail merge now works on project trails too. It merges one open change and lists the candidates when there are several (narrow with --repo / --branch), and its hints name the change (entire trail merge widget/7 --force) (#2840)
  • Project trail --status accepts only open and closed; draft is rejected (#2847)

Changed

  • Browser links (trail, review and experts links) point at entire.com, where the web app now lives; API calls stay on entire.io. ENTIRE_WEB_BASE_URL overrides the web origin, entire review --target accepts entire.com trail URLs as well as entire.io ones, and help text that refers to the website names entire.com (#2849, #2851)
  • git-remote-entire errors print one readable line (repository not found, no access, login rejected, server error, no reachable server) instead of the whole protocol error chain, and credentials in invalid URLs are masked. The full chain is still in the ENTIRE_DEBUG trace (#2802)
  • The Windows installer reads releases from install.entire.com first, with GitHub as the fallback, matching the Unix installer. It also accepts a -Version pin and honors ENTIRE_INSTALL_BASE_URL, and a checksum mismatch aborts instead of falling back to another origin (#2845)
  • Project trail --add-assignee / --remove-assignee resolve GitHub logins to accounts before updating, so an unknown login aborts the update instead of applying part of it. A retried entire trail finding add with the same --client-id reuses the same finding instead of duplicating it (#2847)

Fixed

  • Redaction catches Authorization and Proxy-Authorization header credentials whatever their entropy (UUIDs, hex tokens, short base62 tokens), in raw requests, header maps and common language idioms, and leaves the header name and scheme visible (#2837)
  • Redaction no longer lets git@company.com-style mailboxes or base64 secrets that follow punctuation (token_<secret>, -p<secret>, user@<secret>) through; the git@ exemption now applies only to git remotes (#2846)
  • Headless agents (claude -p, codex exec, droid exec) no longer lose earlier turns' tokens, or store them twice, after a turn that changes no files: an ended session's state is kept while it holds uncommitted tokens or transcript offsets (#2822)
  • OpenCode: a commit made while a background subagent is still running links to the parent session, because the subagent's edits so far count toward co-authorship. The check shares a 10s budget, so a hung export cannot hold up the commit (#2807)
  • OpenCode summaries and entire runner setup work with OpenCode 2, where they failed with Unrecognized flag: --dir. Generation now runs standalone so it no longer attaches to a running OpenCode service or leaves one behind. Note: OpenCode 2's plugin API and opencode export changes are not yet supported (#2843)

Housekeeping

  • Bump aws-actions/configure-aws-credentials to 6.3.0 (#2841)
