RPCS3 for Xbox 0.1.34.78 (test build)
Fixes from the first night of telemetry data. Every change applies to all games.
Fixed
- A broken user
patch.ymlno longer shows the error screen or sends a crash report. The game keeps running, as on desktop RPCS3. (#38) - Stopping a game no longer shows a "deadlock" error screen after 10 s. A slow stop gets up to 60 s. (#42)
- Stopping a game is faster. The shader cache isn't saved a second time when nothing new was built, and the cache saver reacts to a stop within 250 ms. (#45)
- The shader interpreter modes are removed from Settings. An old config that still uses one switches to Async Recompiler at boot. They made Portal 2 load for over an hour and ran out of memory. (#40)
- Pressing A twice on a game no longer boots it twice, which used to crash the XMB. (#49)
- Games no longer think a microphone is plugged in when there is none. This stops the huge log spam in 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. (#43)
- Fixed a crash when a program closes an SPU image (for example
spurs_test.self). (#47)
Changed
- The running game now pauses while the app is suspended in Xbox Home, and continues when you come back. (#44)
- RSX now sleeps instead of busy-spinning while it waits on the game, which leaves more CPU for the PPU and SPU threads. You can turn this off with a
LocalState/rsx_idle_sleepfile containing0. (#46)
Better crash reports (telemetry, opt-in)
- A lost GPU device is now reported as the error with its reason, instead of a misleading "Out of video memory". The endless log flood after it is gone. (#39)
- Crash reports now include the Dozen (
mesa.log) and memory logs. (#48) - When the app ends silently, the heap guard's log is sent with the next report. (#41)
Install
Uninstall the old version only if the same version is already installed. Then install Microsoft.UI.Xaml.2.8.appx if it's missing, and RPCS3Xbox-0.1.34.78.appx.
