- New "Window Actions" submenu lists every open app and window with actions like minimize, close, quit, and quarter/half placement
- Click the DockDoor menu bar icon > Window Actions
- Bigger right-click menu on previews
- Right-clicking a window preview now offers the full set of actions (quarter/half placement, centering, app controls), grouped by Window, Arrange, and Application
- Windowless apps get the same full action set in their right-click menu, not just Open New Window and Quit
- Keep dock previews open after activating a window
- New "Keep preview open after hover activation" option in Settings > Dock Previews, for comparing or switching between windows without reopening the preview
- Only available when hovering is set to bring windows to the front; off by default
- New "System Main Display" option for Dock Locking
- Settings > Dock Locking > "Lock Dock to" > System Main Display always tracks whichever screen currently has the menu bar
- DockDoor now moves the real Dock onto your locked display automatically a couple seconds after login or a display change
- Your locked display choice, and your pinned switcher display, now survive reboots reliably
- Independent modifier and Escape support for the alternate switcher shortcut
- Settings > Gestures & Keybinds > Window Switcher > Alternate Shortcut now has its own Control/Option/Command modifier picker
- Escape can now be captured as the alternate shortcut key
- Drag items out of the Folder widget
- Click and drag a file or folder from an open Folder widget into Finder, Mail, or another app
- DockDoor Pro is now easier to find
- "Get DockDoor Pro…" added to the menu bar menu, linking to the paid Pro app
🔧 Improvements & Stability
- Faster, smoother window switcher and dock previews, especially with many windows open
- Window switcher stays in sync with your desktop
- Opening the switcher refreshes the window list immediately, including terminal-launched apps like mpv and non-bundled games
- Closed windows from separate instances of the same app (e.g. a terminal app launched with special flags) no longer linger as stale entries
- Background refresh dropped from a 60-second to a 5-second interval, and no longer resets your current selection
- Live preview thumbnails and title updates now reach the switcher while it's open
- Dock hover and scroll gestures are only intercepted when your cursor is actually near the Dock
- DockDoor recovers automatically after sleep, screen wake, or a display/resolution change, instead of keybinds or previews going unresponsive
- DockDoor backs off from an unresponsive app instead of stalling on it
- "Quit app on last window close" is more reliable and less likely to misfire while an app is still working
- New windows appear in previews and the switcher faster after being opened, and a slow app opening a window no longer delays detection of new windows in other apps
- Press Return (not just numpad Enter or your custom key) to select the highlighted window in the switcher
- Traffic-light-style preview buttons (close, minimize, quit, etc.) now render as glossy macOS 27-style orbs, unless "monochrome" buttons are enabled in Settings > Appearance
- Settings now warns when your locked display can't hold the Dock because another display blocks its edge, with a suggestion to rearrange displays
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Fixed the Dock staying stuck out of its auto-hide state after clicking a Dock icon
- Selected window in the switcher/preview now stays visible with an accent border when "Hide card background" is enabled
- Floating notification-style popups (e.g. Outlook's meeting reminder) no longer show up as window entries
- Fixed dock preview scrolling being broken
- Untitled toolbar/overlay windows no longer get mistaken for real app windows
- Fixed blank/transparent preview thumbnails under Stage Manager
- Windows on other Spaces now show up correctly and separately instead of merging with the current Space's windows
- "Quit app on last window close" now reliably triggers when you close the final window, and no longer quits apps that are just briefly busy
- Apps that quit without a clean termination notice no longer leave stale entries behind
- Detached native tabs now each show as a separate entry instead of collapsing into one
- Window titles (e.g. browser tab titles) update more reliably
- Pinned media widgets no longer intercept the spacebar meant for another app
- Closing or minimizing a window from the switcher keeps it open until there's nothing left to show
- Closing the Settings window now cleans up its window tracking more reliably
- Cmd+W, Cmd+M, and standard Edit menu shortcuts (undo, cut, copy, paste, select all) now work in the Settings window
- Preview mockups shown in Settings' appearance options no longer respond to clicks or hover as if they were a real window preview
- Switcher stays centered instead of drifting while you type to filter
- Fixed a crash that could occur while typing to search in the window switcher
- Clicking a window in a Dock preview no longer briefly shrinks it, and clicking a Dock icon no longer triggers a stray delayed preview
- Newly opened windows now reliably replace an app's "no windows" placeholder, even outside an active switcher session
- Fixed a slight height mismatch in the title pill for minimized/hidden window cards
- The switcher now closes reliably after external triggers and after releasing its modifier key
- Fixed a hang that could occur when opening Settings
