⚠️ BETA RELEASE WARNING
This is an unstable pre-release version intended for testing purposes only.
✨ New Features
- Combine native macOS tabs into one window preview
- Apps that use built-in window tabs (Safari, Finder, Terminal, Ghostty) can show a single preview per tabbed window instead of one per tab
- The preview shows the tab you used most recently; minimized and hidden windows are never merged
- Turn on "Collapse native tabs into a single window" in Settings > Dock Previews > Window Display (off by default), then restart DockDoor
- New dots style for the active app indicator
- Shows a dot under every running app in your dock: bright for the frontmost app, dimmed for apps with open windows, black for apps with none
- Choose it with the new Indicator Style picker in Settings > General > Active App Indicator; the existing single-line style remains the default
- Dots use your chosen indicator color and work with the dock on the bottom, left, or right
- The height and length sliders now apply only to the line style
🔧 Improvements & Stability
- Updated translations across the app's supported languages
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Each window appears only once in previews and the window switcher
- Some apps could accumulate duplicate previews of a single window over time
- Windows you already closed no longer linger as ghost previews
- Open previews no longer flicker or briefly go blank
- Background window-list refreshes previously made previews shuffle or disappear and reappear mid-hover
- Play/pause in the media controls responds instantly
- Clicking no longer gets ignored, bounces back to the previous state, or makes the progress bar jump
- "Quit app when closing its last window" no longer quits apps mid-use
- Microsoft Office apps and Chrome web apps briefly close and reopen windows when switching views; DockDoor now double-checks the app truly has no windows before quitting it
- IINA previews now match its actual windows
- Its floating playback controller and other phantom entries no longer show up as window previews
- Fixed a crash that could occur while reading the dock's contents
- The DockDoor Pro icon displays correctly
