A hotfix for v1.3.0, which shipped a packaging change that broke media tools on sideloaded installs.
🛠 Fixes & Improvements
- Support for Instagram version 445.0.0
- Active status, typing and read events work again on 445, which renamed the realtime presence callback the tracker listens on
- The reels viewer comment bar is back to its proper size on 445, instead of collapsing to nothing
- Downloading, converting and trimming media work again when sideloaded. v1.3.0 moved the FFmpeg frameworks inside
Sparkle.bundle, and AltStore and SideStore only re-sign frameworks sitting directly in the app'sFrameworksdirectory, so the ones in the bundle kept an ad-hoc signature and were refused at load. They are staged where the signer reaches them again - FFmpeg frameworks carry Sparkle's own
spk.*names now, so they can never replace thelibavutilandlibavcodecframeworks Instagram ships under those names - About shows the app's real bundle identifier instead of always reporting Instagram's
- The What's New sheet drops its page dots when there is only one page
📦 Notes
Jailbroken installs were unaffected by the sideload issue and can update normally.
Building your own IPA? You can now inject the rootless .deb directly, alongside SPKSideloadFix.dylib. The deb carries the tweak, its resources and the FFmpeg frameworks in one file.
Cyan copies those frameworks twice, so delete Payload/*.app/Sparkle.bundle/spk.*.framework afterwards to drop 30 MB of duplicates. ./build.sh ipa --release does all of this for you.
Language packs are rebuilt for this release. If you use one, download it again from the assets below and reimport it, otherwise a few strings will fall back to English.
