Changed
- The modes follow the order a book goes through them: Validate,
Repair, Metadata, Optimize, then Archive, Restore, Import, Smart. The page
opens on Validate, and the opening text (13 languages) tells that order:
check, repair where a fix is certain, complete the metadata, modernize. - Keep original is the pre-selected image format in Optimize and
Restore; WebP is one click away. - Validate runs epubveri 0.28.0 and Repair runs epubsana 0.29.0 in the
browser, the same versions as the CLI (see cli-v4.0.0). Measured on 562
books: the browser validator gives the same counts as the CLI on all 562. - The .kepub output runs kepubverto 0.2.0 and no longer adds findings to
the book (see cli-v4.0.0).
Fixed
- Optimize keeps a valid book valid far more often: of 252 valid books
on our 562-book test shelf, 249 come out valid (54 before). The EPUB 2
metadata is translated to EPUB 3, epubsana's EPUB 3 fixes finish the
upgrade, the generated navigation document escapes its text, and an SVG
1.1 DOCTYPE is dropped (details under cli-v4.0.0).
