Added
- Cover in the Metadata form (issue #61): keep the current cover, use the
one the ISBN lookup found on Open Library (shown next to the book's own, with
sizes, and a note when it is smaller), or upload a JPEG/PNG up to 10 MB. The
covers are previewed asdata:URLs; the browser never contacts a catalogue.
The cover is changed as in cli-v3.3.0. - Subjects from a lookup are offered as tick boxes, none ticked: catalogue
subjects come from many libraries, in their languages.
Fixed
- Saving metadata no longer makes an EPUB 2 book invalid — the form sends
every field, so every save did it before (see cli-v3.3.0). The Subtitle field
is off for an EPUB 2 book, which has none, and says why. - Saving keeps what the form does not show: further
dc:languagevalues,
an ISBN's own markup, authors' roles and sort names. - A metadata save reads the book with the zip-bomb limits (entry count,
decompressed size) the other modes already had. - Catalogue text is cleaned, as in cli-v3.3.0.
Changed
- Validate runs epubveri 0.24.0 and Repair runs epubsana 0.25.0 in the
browser, the same versions as cli-v3.3.0 (vendor/VENDOR.md). On 544 books
the browser's Validate gives the same report asepublift check, and the
browser's Repair (every fix ticked, another round while it reveals more)
writes the same bytes asepublift repair --yes.
Run it
docker pull ghcr.io/epublift/epublift-web:1.24.0Multi-arch (amd64 + arm64). The web service ships as a container image
only; for the command-line tool, see the latest cli-v* release.
