Changed
epublift checkruns epubveri 0.21.0 andepublift repairruns epubsana
0.23.0. A CSS syntax error (CSS-008) now says what is wrong and quotes it
—'margin' is not followed by ':','{' is never closed,invalid selector 'img . portrait' at '.'— where it read only "CSS syntax error".
Two CSS false positives are gone (a quoted or parenthesised unquotedurl()
naming a real file; a declaration directly in@media), and a rule inside
@font-faceor a value holding{ }is now a CSS-008, as in epubcheck, so
such a book can fail where it passed. Reports come out in the same order on
every run, and a stylesheet with very many findings is checked much faster.
Measured on 544 books, cli-v3.0.0 vs this release: the same findings,
statuses and exit codes on every book, 24 CSS-008 messages in 12 books
reworded;repair --dry-runoutput identical on all 544.- Minimum supported Rust is 1.97 (latest stable − 2).
Removed
- The library's
epublift::repairmodule, withplan_repairand
write_repaired. Both the command line (since cli-v3.0.0) and the web page
(since web-v1.21.0) repair with epubsana, so nothing calls them. They were
never documented and the crate is not published; code that called them
through a git dependency should use epubsana'srepair()instead. The CLI
itself does not change.
