Updates from the 0.2.10 Alpha 3 Hotfix 1 Pre-Release:

  • Increased required version of Waypoints from 1.3.1 to 1.3.2 to fix brain-dead bots in certain areas such as:
    • South of the cinema on Streets
    • SW corner of Interchange
  • Bosses will now regroup with their followers if they wander too far from them while questing.
  • Followers now have a target range of distances to their boss instead of a fixed value. This will allow them to wander a little more instead of spinning in circles when they're at their target distance to a stationary boss.
  • Followers are now allowed to continue looting as long as they're within a certain distance (currently 75m) from their bosses. Before this limit was added, bots could wander VERY far in some areas when retrieving loot.
  • Improved checks to prevent bots from randomly joining groups, but it only works with Questing Bot's initial PMC spawns. EFT still changes bot groups randomly sometimes, so this check won't work with DONUTS group spawns (yet).
  • Bug fix for members of all PMC groups on the map stopping their questing when a member of any PMC group engages in combat
  • Bug fix for followers being allowed to sprint when their boss's objective prohibits it from sprinting
  • Bug fix for lots of NRE's when raids end
  • Major refactoring of bot group behavior monitoring

NOTE: I did very limited testing with this release. Its main purpose is to assist with DONUTS development. If you find major issues, please use 0.2.10 Alpha 3 Hotfix 1 instead.

config.json files from previous releases are not compatible.

Known Issues for Changes in this Release:

  • I'm pretty sure my limits for initial PMC spawns aren't working with group spawns. PMC groups are counted as one bot instead of the number of bots in the group. I'll fix this soon.
  • Performance will likely be a tad worse with this release compared to the last one. This is partially caused by the extra code that runs in the background and partially caused by large group fights now being more likely to occur. Large group fights will cause performance issues even with base SPT, so this will be difficult to avoid.
  • PMC "bosses" in group spawns will always lead in front of its followers by a bit (~20m) when questing.
  • If a PMC group engages in combat and some of its members haven't seen the enemy, they'll sprint off to who-the-hell-knows-where looking for cover. This should be greatly improved by using SAIN, but it will likely still happen.
  • If a member of PMC group is suddenly no longer able to quest (i.e. due to being badly injured), the whole group will stop questing until that bot adequately heals, extracts via SAIN, or dies. This may result in the other group members camping in strange areas for a long time.
  • I've enabled extra logging messages for now to help me troubleshoot if (when) you guys find issues.
  • I still need to update documentation for the new features
