This is a maintenance patch release for DD3 focused on restoring compatibility fixes that were missing or only partially included in 3.9.0, plus a few small reliability improvements for newer Home Assistant frontend versions.

Highlights

• Restored missing DD3 frontend fixes in the published source files and rebuilt the distributed JavaScript bundle.
• Improved Home Assistant 2026.6 frontend compatibility around scoped custom elements, card-helper initialization, custom card creation and hass propagation.
• Filtered hidden, disabled and excluded entities and persons from header information, popups and dashboard summaries.
• Fixed climate device popups, including idle HVAC devices.
• Improved entity display names across homepage cards, favorites, device pages, header popups, climate/media popups, custom entity/domain popups, blueprint cards and person cards.
• Added support for occupancy and presence device classes.
• Replaced remaining deprecated MWC and Paper components with safer frontend handling.
• Improved responsive header, popup and narrow-desktop layouts.
• Kept header weather and temperature information centered.
• Removed the obsolete global-settings shortcut and kept global settings available through the integration options flow.
• Added configurable area-icon hiding and improved area icon resolution using DD overrides, native Home Assistant area icons and fallback icons.
• Continued using Home Assistant's native floor registry and removed the obsolete DD floor input.
• Hardened area configuration handling around missing area IDs, active HA configuration paths and empty areas.yaml files.
• Improved dashboard reliability and performance when hiding, disabling, excluding or restoring entities.

• Merged #910 by @tristanXme: additional fixes and small features around entity names, area icons, global settings, responsive layouts and configuration handling.

Notes

This release does not change the DD3 configuration format. It should be installable as a normal HACS update on Home Assistant 2026.5.0 or newer.
