Adds optional execution tracing and Laravel log correlation for embedded Durable Workflow. Applications can carry W3C context across independent queue workers, activity attempts, retries and recovery while preserving distinct durable, request and trace identities.
Tracing is disabled by default. Applications own the optional OpenTelemetry API (1.10.1 or later in the 1.x line), providers, propagators, sampling, exporters and shutdown. Default installations require no OpenTelemetry package. Baggage is bounded and propagates only through an explicit allowlist, empty by default. Default attributes exclude business arguments, results and HTTP bodies.
Run the package migrations against the application's configured workflow models and storage connection, enable the tracing flag and Laravel log tap together, and restart workers. Nullable carrier columns preserve existing rows. Tracing-enabled workflow execution uses cold replay and clears retained continuation frames. Telemetry does not confer authority or change retry, lease, receipt, cancellation or business outcome rules.
The embedded guide documents relationships, bounded exporter operation, migration, legacy executions and limitations. Implementation #788 and report #881 are merged. Immutable release source is 2bc1ba0b57df34b74de02427d2225bd8e4dc6322, with the same production files as the qualified implementation.
Qualification includes the full source and normal protected suites, canonical coverage gate, source-specific Sonar review, installed migration controls, a default no-API consumer, PHP 8.1 / Monolog 2 compatibility, and all 16 published Laravel 9–13 / PHP 8.1–8.4 upgrades in the normal registry matrix. Installed package identity checks cover all 966 production source/resource files.
The original two-CPU fan-out observer failures remain failed. A corrected test-only runner on four CPUs passes both 64-member installed fan-out cases, with the original deadlines, complete histories/results, one attempt per activity, drained queues and no failed jobs. It narrowly classifies a recovered SQLite queue-producer insertion. #883 records that runner correction and its separate normal gates; it changes no release artifact. These functional results do not establish a two-CPU capacity guarantee.
The fixed study against normal published Core 2.8.0 passes three of four predeclared CPU budgets. Disabled fan-out fails the original 5% target: mean +1.41%, 95% interval [-3.61%, +6.43%], with +4.53% baseline drift. The maintainer explicitly accepts a post-study component release allowance of 7.5% disabled / 15% enabled. This preserves the failed 5% result and uncertainty; it is not a predeclared four-budget pass or a performance SLA. See the complete report.
This release delivers the embedded Laravel component. Workflow #773 remains open for the actual published carrier-enabled Server tuple, cross-SDK acceptance and downstream documentation/consumer delivery. No Cloud deployment, native wire capability or frozen-catalog adoption is claimed.
