Highlights

✨ More parse-live groups, and they add up

parse-live gains --io (reads, writes and the other file-descriptor syscalls), --mem (memory mappings and mach_vm_* traps), --signal, --cred (credentials, code signing and policy checks, task_for_pid), --sync (locks, kqueues, workqueues) and --mach (every Mach trap pykdebugparser parses). Groups combine with each other and with -s/-e; syscalls --group NAME lists one.

🎨 Traces colored by their meaning, by default

With pykdebugparser 1.6.0, each event is colored by what it shows: the call bold, strings and paths green, numbers cyan, constants yellow, errors red. It keeps up with --bsc during app launches, so it is now the default; --color-mode fast colors only the columns.

📄 parse-live --json

One JSON object per trace (time, thread, pid, process, event name, parsed fields and text), for jq and scripts.

⚡ Faster terminal output

parse-live writes its output in batches instead of a write per line, which cost a busy trace up to half its speed on a terminal.

📦 pykdebugparser 1.6.0

Parses more events: dyld static initializers and ObjC init with their image, process exits and suspensions, disk I/O, every arm64 exception class (brk traps, pointer authentication failures, ...), task_for_pid, and lost-event markers.
