Improvements to efficiency fine-tuner*
-
Efficiency fine-tuner (very experimental) support now available on Windows (tested on Win10)
-
--gpu-power-tuner-loss can now take per gpu values (must use --gpu-power-tuner <gpu_id list>)*
-
Added support for locking memory clock on NVIDIA GPUs to 405MHz*
Efficiency fine-tuner (Linux / Windows, NVIDIA; root / administrator required):
Tuning results vary between individual GPUs, even with the same GPU model and OC, because of differences in silicon quality.
GPUs already overclocked close to their stability limit are more likely to become unstable during tuning.
For the best and safest results, tune GPUs one at a time with --gpu-power-tuner <gpu_id>.
A crash on one GPU can affect other GPUs in the same miner process, making it more difficult to identify which GPU caused the failure.
A result that passes tuning can still prove unstable and crash after extended mining. If the GPU can be recovered, the miner restarts automatically.
Multiple automatic miner restarts during tuning are normal when GPU recovery succeeds. Tuning resumes after the restart.
Some crashes can leave the GPU in a state that the miner cannot recover. In this case, a full machine reboot is required.
NVIDIA driver 595 or 615 is recommended.
When using --gpu-power-tuner, it is recommended to set your OC through miner parameters and include --gpu-reset-oc.
This helps the miner manage GPU resets and restore your OC more reliably.
--gpu-power-tuner-loss example :
Set loss 2% to gpu 0, 1% to gpu 1 and 3.5% to gpu 5: --gpu-power-tuner 0,1,5 --gpu-power-tuner-loss 2,1,3.5
Memory clock at 405MHz
Lock memory clock to 405MHz to improve efficiency on algorithms that mostly use only gpu's core (pearlhash for 3000, 4000, 5000 series, quantus, noid ... etc)
Just use --gpu-mclock 405
Custom miner for Hiveos
To use it you need to select “Custom miner” when you create Flight Sheet and paste this into 'Installation url' : https://github.com/doktor83/SRBMiner-Multi/releases/download/3.8.4/srbminer_custom-3.8.4.tar.gz
After that you must set everything manually (--algorithm, --pool, --wallet) through the 'Extra config arguments' field by using parameters.
Parameters list here : ( https://github.com/doktor83/SRBMiner-Multi/blob/master/Parameters )
