What's new in 1.5.5
Aircraft serial detection — rebuilt. This was the main reason 4G showed "serial too short" for a lot of people. It now:
- actively asks the aircraft for its serial instead of only passively waiting for it,
- reads serials that firmware wraps in length-prefixed telemetry chunks,
- listens longer (up to ~8s) as a fallback,
- accepts more serial formats (not only ones starting with
1581), - and adds a manual serial entry field in the 4G card — type the serial and tap "Use this serial for 4G" when auto-detect can't find it.
The FCC unlock itself is unchanged.
⚠️ Updating from v1.5.3 or older? Those builds were signed with a different key, so Android will refuse to update over them with "App not installed." Uninstall the old FreeFCC first, then install this one (one-time). Updating from v1.5.4 is seamless — no uninstall needed.
