Summary of changes:
Made handling of archive files part of the main application code, and removed the Archive plug-in. This makes it easier to add archive processing features without needing to conform to dnGrep's plug-in interface. Archive file types may still be specified in the Options dialog.
Added capability to recursively search archives within archives.
Added capability to find files by name or pattern within archives (#339). By leaving the 'Search for' box empty, dnGrep will list files without searching for text or pattern within the file. Previously this only worked for files outside of archives.
Added six additional sort options including file size, modified date, file type, file name, and match count by clicking the drop-down part of the Sort button (#359). The last selected sort option is saved and can be re-run by clicking the main sort button.
Added file info tool tips to the results panel. The tool tips may be disabled from the Options dialog. I tried adding columns to the results panel, but could not get a good layout because of the way the results panel auto resizes to the width of the content.
Added option to use .gitignore to exclude paths and files when searching (#302). This requires git to be installed. When enabled on the main search filters panel, dnGrep will use any .gitignore files in the search paths to exclude files and folders, and will also exclude the .git directory. Using this option may or may not make the search faster: processing the .gitignore file takes some time, so the speed depends on how many files or folders get excluded, and how many files would have been processed in those locations.
Added an option to specify the max sub directory depth for searching (#298).
Added a search panel to the Preview window and Replace window - this allows you to search for other text in the current file. Click on the file viewer pane in the Preview window or Replace window, and press ctrl-F to open a search panel at the top of the file viewer.
