Fixed
- The first-run wizard shows on a fresh Home Assistant app install. The
broker host the app's Configuration tab supplies (core-mosquittoby
default) no longer counts as setup already done, so a new or cleared
install lands in the wizard instead of the Send page. - On the Send page, the What to send and Live preview cards line up at the
top under the paper theme.

Changed
- The widget field on a dashboard cell is a search box in place of the long
dropdown. With nothing typed it lists your recently picked widgets and
then every widget grouped by subject (Time & dates, Weather & sky, Home
Assistant, Transport and so on); typing filters by name, family, id and
description, and the arrow keys and Enter pick. Names read the same way
throughout: "Orbit: Pass" shows as "Orbit, Pass", and a name left as the
widget's id, such astopo_map, shows in words. The cell's heading shows
the widget's name in place of its id.
Added
- Widget manifests take an optional
categorynaming the subject the picker
groups the widget under. Bundled widgets declare one; a widget without it
is grouped by the family in its name, or under Utility.

- M5Stack PaperS3 displays have the Touch input and Touch linger options, for
firmware 1.57.0 and later. Touch needs Stay awake on, since the touch
controller cannot wake the board from deep sleep, and its axis mapping is
not yet checked on hardware.
Fixed
- Polish widgets use natural count forms for events, stops, hours, weeks,
automation runs and degrees. The word clock uses phrases such as "Pięć po
trzeciej" and "Wpół do czwartej", and Polish labels and date headings use
more natural wording. Longer clock and automation labels fit small tiles.

Companion apps can open native Dashboard settings to edit names, icons,
display bindings, content/wake intervals, appearance and declared Canvas
configuration fields. Operators grant Edit dashboard settings separately
in Settings → Companion. Secret values remain hidden, saves detect conflicting
web/editor changes, and saving does not push a frame. Grid dashboards support
common settings; advanced layout and code editing stay in the web editor. -
Dashboard settings now discover supported widget fields per Grid cell, Canvas
element, Code data source and binding. Apps can search dynamic choices, retain
unavailable selections, order media-player priorities and reset individual
overrides to widget defaults. Shared Canvas inputs keep their author-defined
grouping, and saves reject stale definitions or overlapping updates atomically.
Location search, sliders, native colors and conditional fields still use the
web editor.

- Companion can resolve a MAC already obtained from an authenticated Bluetooth
display viaPOST /api/app/v1/devices/lookup(devices:read). It returns only
the unique matching device ID or null, without exposing MACs or firmware
credentials, claiming a device, or changing its state.

Changed
- Dashboard update and device wake intervals are grouped under Refresh
settings, with descriptive labels, help text, and readable custom
controls on narrower screens. The existing dashboard layout and interval
behavior are unchanged.
