What's Changed

  • AtCHAT NET: a new digital chat protocol — modem, virtual channel and NET panel with tabbed chat, file send and adaptive carrier sense by @barisdinc in #402
  • Antenna memory: each VFO keeps its own antenna socket across an A/B press inside one band, and hands it back to the band memory when the dial crosses bands by @dielectric-coder in #424 (#404)
  • AIS: read each received byte in the right bit order, so ships from real transponders are plotted where they are instead of scattered across the world or missing from the chart — now checked against a published sentence decoded by gpsd (#345, #408)
  • WFM: the receive filter BW sets the channel filter ahead of the FM detector instead of being ignored (#414)
  • RDS: the station picture is built only from groups on a confirmed lock, so programme audio on a chance match can no longer invent a station identity
  • Tuning: a key or wheel step from between two grid points lands on the next one in the direction of travel instead of overshooting by a step (#431)
  • Hamlib rigctld: read a level reply that arrives as a bare number, so the rig's own S-meter, SWR and power are read at all (#427)
  • Hamlib rigctld: key CW text through Hamlib's send_morse, with keyer speed and stop (#412)
  • Yaesu FTX-1: play stored CW text with KY01, the two-parameter form its CAT manual documents, instead of KY6 (#412)
  • S-meter: leave the attached receiver's calibration off the transceiver's audio level in a panadapter pairing (#427)
  • TUNE in a data mode sends its tone at that mode's transmit-audio level, so ALC can be set with it (#419)
  • CAT: report a Yaesu ?; as a refusal, and forget the remembered output power on any refusal so a refused level is written again at the next key-down (#420)
  • CI-V: take a dial or mode report only from the configured radio, addressed to us or to all, with a well-formed frequency payload and no collision bytes (#415)
  • Xiegu G90: stop reading the power-output meter, whose reply is not on Icom's scale and showed full power at 10% drive (#430)
  • CAT/Audio: give back the serial port and sound devices before a runtime interface switch opens the replacement (#15)
  • HL2 I/O board: send it the transverter's on-air transmit and receive frequencies instead of the I.F. (#292)
  • HL2 I/O board: once J9 is in use, its receive inputs appear on the ANT control and are kept per band, switched live (#292)
  • PlutoSDR: offer only the antenna ports the board accepts, trying each once at open, and never the TX monitor loopbacks (#314)
  • PlutoSDR: grey out the main-window gain slider while the AD9361's own AGC holds the gain, and say how to take it back (#417)
  • Spots: DX cluster, POTA, SOTA and PSK Reporter spots now reach every local radio tab, not only the station radio's (#410)
  • DX cluster: say when a node is connected but there is no callsign to log in with, instead of sitting silently at its prompt (#410)
  • Remote client: drop tunes queued before the station's state arrives, so connecting no longer retunes a radio others are using to the client's defaults (#405)
  • Logbook: a new hand-entered contact goes to the auto-upload logbooks too, as a sequencer-logged one already did (#428)
  • ANC: left off, and its chip hidden, in AM, SAM, WFM and DRM, where it cancelled the programme audio (#434)
  • Sliders: the value readout keeps its widest width, so a value gaining a digit mid-drag no longer moves the rail under the pointer (#429)
  • UI: the ctrl+plus / ctrl+minus zoom is remembered across restarts (#425)
  • CTR: keep the dial centred by default on a new station; saved views keep their setting (#422, #411)

Documentation

  • QO-100 quick-start guide in English and Turkish, with rendered PDFs and its diagrams drawn from source by @barisdinc in #407
  • An AtCHAT NET chapter in the user manual (#402)
  • The manual covers this release's behaviour changes: the WFM channel filter, the direction-aware tuning step, ANC on broadcast audio, spots on every radio tab, the AIS fix, the G90 meter, Pluto ports and gain, HL2 I/O board inputs per band, CW text keying on the FTX-1 and through rigctld, and CTR on by default
