What's changed
- extfs support added, compatible with Midnight Commander
- Editor now remembers positions in files
- FTP PASV support added
- Mouse support implemented for all dialogs
How does extfs support work?
Rat Commander now has a configurable list of file extensions in the file rc.ext which lets the user define file extensions and assign an extfs script to it. Extfs scripts give rat-commander the ability to list file contents and do operations like editing, copying or moving files. So if there's a new file compression format, it is now possible to add support for it without recompiling rat-commander.
The support for extfs is comprehensive and completely compatible with Midnight Commander. In fact, Rat Commander will probe for the usual mc installation directories and use any extfs script it finds.
