Search

  • Search has a new command bar and a bigger, clearer keyboard. The overlay opens with a Search heading and a full-width query field carrying the search mark inside it. The TV keyboard uses larger keys and a branded SEARCH key that commits the query and lands focus on the first match; Discover search uses the same header and keyboard.
  • Results stay in their pane and are sized as thumbnails. Search tiles now resize the artwork frame itself instead of leaving a browsing-sized card around a small image, the grid clips to its own viewport so scrolled rows cannot draw over the status line or filters, and the tile scrim carries the same rounded bottom corners as the card. TV shows four columns at 78dp, phones three at 84dp.
  • Type filters moved beside the title. All / Live / Films / Series now sit in a scrollable strip between the Search title and the close button, giving the results the row they used to occupy. The chips are also smaller.
  • The on-screen keyboard types Arabic, and its languages are configurable. Arabic, Persian, Russian, Greek, Hebrew and Turkish letter layers sit beside English; the keyboard opens on the device or UI language when that layer is enabled, and when more than one language is on a two-letter key cycles between them without leaving the keys. Settings → General → Keyboard languages ticks which layers are available, defaulting to English plus the device language.

Live TV

  • DOWN stops at the last channel instead of escaping into the category rail. The final guide row consumes the key, including when focus is on a programme block.
  • Backing out of fullscreen returns the ring to the channel you were watching. hidePlayer() scrolls the guide, then focuses that channel's row instead of leaving the ring on the Live TV tab or letting a late category rebuild hand it to the EPG column. The retry aborts if the viewer has already moved to another tab, Search, Settings or a detail page.
  • The player controls bar shows the wall clock beside the LIVE badge. It follows the device's locale and 12/24-hour setting and refreshes on the existing player tick.
  • Live TV keeps its name when another tab is selected. The tab used to collapse to its icon as soon as Series, Movies or Home took focus.

Providers

  • Emby can now be added as its own media-server type. Emby speaks the same MediaBrowser API as Jellyfin, so its films, series, Live TV, resume points, watched marks, favourites and playback reporting reuse the Jellyfin client with Emby's own api_key/X-Emby-Token wire details.
  • A blocked Xtream API no longer paints green. The Settings status probe treated every Xtream response below HTTP 500 as online, so a panel answering 403 (Cloudflare block, expired or blocked account) looked healthy. Xtream now requires a successful player_api.php response, matching the playlist probe.

Catalogue

  • An upgraded install can no longer load an unmeasured or oversized resident cache. If the stored row count is unknown, the first load stays on Room; the resident loader checks the flat cache's own line count against the heap cap before parsing it, and ResidentCatalog.refresh() learns the real count after a database load so later launches can still use RAM. A 130 MB legacy cache that used to spend 44 seconds and most of a 228 MB heap is now discarded before it is materialised.

Player

  • TV player labels fit instead of ending in ellipses. Quick-action titles and values, Player options tile labels and the now/next card labels auto-fit down to a legible floor, while the TV quick-action boxes reclaim a little horizontal space.
