Semver rationale: minor — adds a new backend (agy-cli) and an advisory smoothness floor, and changes the default rewrite rhetoric policy (H-RHETORIC). Existing invocations behave as before, and the previous rhetoric text can be restored with an environment flag.
- H-RHETORIC rewrite policy is now the default (#818, #828). The rewrite prompt now directs the model to actually remove content-free exaggeration, formulaic openers, and redundancy while preserving numbers, conditions, quotations, and meaningful intensity. Set
PATINA_RHETORIC_POLICY=legacyto restore the previous similar-weight instruction. - agy-cli (Antigravity CLI) backend (#802). Select with
--backend agy-clior anagy-*model; authentication uses the Antigravity CLI's own Google sign-in. - Advisory smoothness floor for rewrite output (#821). When sentence-length CV drops below the existing burstiness low band, or line-length/line-ending entropy is extremely low, the CLI prints a warning note. Advisory only — exit code, scores, and rewrite text are unchanged; disable with
smoothness-floor: false. - Fixes. Detect Claude Code macOS Keychain authentication and run patina-skill through symlinks (#831, issue #829); launch .cmd-shimmed local CLIs on win32 (#808); drain leftover fetch sockets before CLI teardown (#811); inject CLI Korean documentSignals into hosted rewrite (#812); merge a symlinked user config only once (#805); strip agent tools from local CLI rewrite calls (#798); report an emptied Claude Code session as not authenticated (#796); doctor probes the default HTTP key instead of trusting its presence (#803).
- QA, operations, community. Cross-platform smoke runner with Linux baseline and win32 suite support (#804–#806); backend compatibility verification P17b for codex-cli, claude-cli, gemini-cli, kimi-cli, and agy-cli (#795–#809); pattern-of-the-week (#824, #830) and a visible submit-a-pattern path (#813).
- Availability. npm publication resumes with this release: both npm packages,
patina-cliandpatina-humanizer, are published at 8.7.0.
