The instance list is now driven live by the health service at status.d420.de. The extension activates any instance the service reports healthy and drops it when the service does, within the fixed set of domains listed in manifest.json. A brand-new domain still needs a release; instances already in that set come and go with no update. A baked-in seed list covers cold start and the case where the service is unreachable.
Seed list grew from 2 instances to 8 (kareem.one, jaydenha.uk, click, meowing.monster, netbub.com, miningtcup.me, shitter.thepixora.com, xcancel.com), with nitter.xitter.cc also permitted.
Fallback fixes:
- An instance that answers HTTP 200 with a page that is really an error (rate limit, exhausted tokens, a fork's own error markup, an operator shutdown page) is now detected and skipped.
- An instance that redirects to another permitted instance no longer trips the 8-second watchdog and pulls you off a page that already loaded.
- Pressing Stop or navigating away mid-load no longer marks a healthy instance broken or forces the tab back to Nitter.
- Cloudflare challenge pages are recognised by a locale-independent fingerprint, not just the English "Just a moment" title.
m.twitter.com and m.x.com are now intercepted alongside the www and mobile forms.
