Artemide Testing
Hello there,
Did a major rework of frame pacing, stream period estimation, and several performance/latency-related components.
Changelog
Frame Pacing
-
New pacing selector: Quality / Balanced / Performance / RAW
-
Quality = AdaptX Smoothness
-
Balanced = AdaptX Sync
-
Performance = Prefer Lower Latency (EWMA-guided)
-
RAW = GPU RAW
LFR
-
LFR now has two modes: Pure and Lite
-
Pure LFR is the standard one, and can be harsh on slower devices.
-
Lite LFR is generally more forgiving, but on very low-end devices it may still be better to keep LFR disabled.
-
Both modes can be enabled only when using Performance (Prefer Lower Latency) or RAW (GPU RAW).
GPU RAW
- Restored original GPU RAW behavior: no EWMA, no display-aware , just raw low-latency presentation.
Adaptx
- Introduced AdaptX Sync: It dynamically adjusts presentation timing to match real stream and display cadence (adapts as pacing changes).
Prefer Lower Latency
- Prefer Lower Latency is now EWMA-guided: it still presents ASAP, but tracks real cadence/backlog and performs rare drops only when clearly falling behind to keep latency bounded (no local drops in Pure LFR).
Direct Present / GpuKick
-
GpuKick is now integrated directly into DirectPresent.
-
Removed the corresponding UI option.
Removed / Disabled
-
Dropped RXBoost.
-
Removed Force Android TV GPU composition.
-
Disabled Warp Factor.
-
Removed FSR EASU upscaling.
Performance / Overhead
-
Reduced performance stats overlay overhead.

PS: Some settings are only shown for specific combinations. For example, selecting RAW will reveal Direct Present and LFR in the app. Enabling LFR will then reveal the LFR Mode selector (Pure/Lite).
If this release gives you trouble, try one of these older versions:
As always,
⚠️ Heads up: this is experimental. I’ve only tested on my hardware, so things may break on yours. Use at your own risk.
Found a bug? Tell me and I’ll try to fix it.
Enjoy!
