Changes
- GTA III's legacy UIKit root layer is now attached automatically when a scene-less game needs it, fixing the white screen at launch.
- Legacy mouse/touch delivery now reaches GTA III's
EAGLView; the direct-touch bridge sendstouchesBegan, touchesMovedandtouchesEndedwithout posting system-wide events. - GTA: Liberty City Stories no longer crashes on launch. The missing Swift
UIKit._UIKitNumericRawRepresentable.+operator is implemented in the bundledlibswiftUIKit.dylib, so RockstarMobile no longer calls through a null function pointer. - Added opt-in
PEAR_DEBUG_GL,PEAR_DEBUG_TOUCH,PEAR_DEBUG_VIEWSandPEAR_TEST_LEGACY_TOUCHdiagnostics for legacy window and touch investigations. Normal game launches stay quiet. - Bumped the app to 0.4.8 (20).
Verification and limitations
- Automated tests: 311 XCTest (16 skipped, 0 failures) and 24 Swift Testing tests passed.
- GTA III 1.3.13 opens, renders and receives touch events on
EAGLView; the gamepad path was verified in-game by the user. - Touch position/precision and multi-touch are still imprecise in GTA III compared with the gamepad. This remains a known limitation.
- GTA: Liberty City Stories 2.4.150 launches and remains running without a new crash report.
- The app is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized; macOS may require a manual security override on first launch.
