⬆️ Update from inside the app

The update dialog now has Update now: desigma downloads the release for your platform, checks it against SHA256SUMS, and Restart to update installs it and opens the new version. It asks first if you have unsaved changes or a live session.

• Windows installer: runs the new setup silently and relaunches. Portable zip: swaps desigma.exe in place.
• macOS: replaces desigma.app and reopens it.
• Linux: replaces the binary (and the desktop entry when installed with install.sh).
• Anything that can't be updated in place (read-only folder, /usr/bin, a mounted dmg) falls back to the release page.
• Help shows the current version above Check for updates….

This works from alpha.12 onwards, so install this one by hand.

👥 Collaboration: nothing lost when people edit at the same moment

• Comments and replies, shared styles, variables and collections, prototype flows, guides and page timelines now merge entry by entry: two people adding at the same moment both keep their change, and undoing your own addition doesn't remove someone else's.
• Board votes are counted per person: everyone voting on the same sticky at once counts, and "N votes each" limits count only your own votes. Older files keep their vote totals.
• New variables and styles created during a session get ids that can't collide.

Fixes

• Text fields in Share/Join, Find and the home dialog have their padding back.
• The version-mismatch message tells you which side to update.

Sharing protocol version 3: alpha.11 and alpha.12 can't join each other's sessions; update everyone to alpha.12.

Installing

Download the file for your platform below. These builds are not code-signed yet, so the first launch shows a warning:

• macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel): download desigma-<version>-macos.dmg, open it and drag desigma to Applications. The first time, open it from Applications, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/desigma.app.
• Windows (recommended): run desigma-<version>-x86_64-windows-setup.exe. It installs for your user without an admin prompt, adds a Start Menu entry and can associate .desigma files. In the SmartScreen dialog, click More info → Run anyway.
• Windows (portable): unzip desigma-<version>-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip and run desigma.exe; same SmartScreen steps.
• Linux: unpack desigma-<version>-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.gz, then run ./install.sh (no sudo) or just ./desigma.
