Reconnect. A guest whose connection drops keeps working and rejoins automatically (1 s → 15 s backoff, up to 2 minutes) as the same person; edits made on both sides during the outage are merged.
Fonts. Guests receive the font files the document uses from the host, for that session only (up to 20 MB per file); fonts the host can't share are reported as unavailable.
Image cache. Images are cached by content (500 MB, oldest removed first) and sent as base64 instead of number arrays — about 3× smaller.
Links open the app everywhere. macOS now handles desigma:// links and .desigma files from Finder and browsers; on Windows and Linux a link or file goes to the already running window instead of starting a second one.
No lost work. Opening a file, a dropped file, a link, going home or starting a new file asks first: Discard unsaved changes? (Save / Discard / Cancel), Stop sharing? N people will be disconnected, or Leave the session?
desigma-server (new): a headless host that keeps a file shared permanently, e.g. on a VPS — stable link across restarts, password, autosave every 10 s with rotating backups, .fig / JSON / SVG import, reconnecting guests. Build it with cargo build --release -p desigma-server; see its README.

Protocol version 2: alpha.10 and alpha.11 can't join each other's sessions — update both sides.

Download the file for your platform below. These builds are not code-signed yet, so the first launch shows a warning:

macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel): download desigma-<version>-macos.dmg, open it and drag desigma to Applications. The first time, open it from Applications, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/desigma.app.
Windows (recommended): run desigma-<version>-x86_64-windows-setup.exe. It installs for your user without an admin prompt, adds a Start Menu entry and can associate .desigma files. In the SmartScreen dialog, click More info → Run anyway.
Windows (portable): unzip desigma-<version>-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip and run desigma.exe; same SmartScreen steps.
Linux: unpack desigma-<version>-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.gz, then run ./install.sh (no sudo) or just ./desigma.
