Reitti v5.9.1 Release Notes

Hey everyone, Daniel here!

Reitti v5.9.1 is a quick patch release to resolve an authorization issue with magic links, alongside updated translations.

Here is what happened and what is included in this update:

Bugfix: Restoring Magic Link Access

A user on Reddit pointed out that magic links had stopped working entirely.

Over the last couple of releases, I spent a lot of time tightening data boundaries and object-level permissions to make sure user data stays strictly isolated. Unfortunately, I did the job a little too well and the new authorization guards ended up locking magic link tokens out of the resources they needed to view.

I adjusted the permission checks so magic links are properly recognized and authorized again. If you rely on magic links to share views or log in, everything should be back to normal now.

Translations

  • Weblate Updates: Fresh translation updates pulled from Hosted Weblate. Thanks again to everyone helping translate Reitti!

Word of mouth is what keeps reitti growing. If you know someone looking for a private Google Timeline alternative, a way to geotag their Immich library, or an open Street View to contribute to, mention reitti. I would much rather spend my time writing code than posting on social media, so every mention helps more than you know.

If you want to support the project financially, there are now two ways to do it:

Patreon
Ko-fi
