Dual‑watch, split / RIT‑XIT, per‑band memory, and accidental‑change safety locks — plus a reworked status bar and a lot of UX polish.
▎ ⚠️ Upgrade the client and server together. This release extends the client↔server protocol (per‑VFO receive controls, dual‑watch / split fields, and transmit / dual‑watch capabilities). A new client needs a
▎ new server and vice‑versa — install the matching v0.1.5 pair below.
Dual‑watch & split (Hermes Lite 2)
- Dual‑watch — two receivers at once. An independent VFO B alongside VFO A: stacked spectrum + waterfall, heard A‑left / B‑right, each with its own frequency, mode, and full receive processing (filter, pitch,
squelch, NR2, noise blanker, auto‑notch, AGC, deemphasis, RIT). An Active VFO: A | B selector points the Receive controls at the receiver you're working; both volumes stay visible to mix live. - Split + RIT/XIT. Transmit on the selected TX VFO, with a per‑VFO RIT receive offset and an XIT transmit offset that follows the TX VFO. X swaps TX focus, = copies A→B.
Tuning
- Relative "Snap" tuning — wheel and ←/→ move the dial by the active Snap step (×1, Shift ×10, Alt ×0.1), remembered per mode and per VFO; ↑/↓ move the LO in coarse, band‑appropriate steps.
- Per‑band memory — leaving a band remembers your frequency + mode; returning restores it like a band‑stacking register (persisted per operator).
Display
- Reworked status bar — each receiver grouped (frequency · mode · flags · S‑meter); in dual‑watch both S‑meters show, coloured per VFO, with inline RIT/XIT and a ▶TX marker on the transmitting VFO. Fixed‑width
readouts so nothing shifts as values change. - Waterfall smoothing + cleaner dual‑watch — a "Smoothing" slider calms the noise‑floor twinkle; linear texture minification removes the shimmer when panes are split.
Safety locks
- Damage locks on TX Drive and Spot Level — each behind its own inline padlock (locked by default, auto‑re‑locking after you adjust) so a stray scroll can't over‑drive the PA/amp.
- Settings lock greys the set‑once config (sample rate, gain, PPM, direct sampling, band, mode, split) against accidental change; Dial lock freezes all tuning while the frequency stays readable.
Other
- Volume mute/unmute on each control (remembers the level), and a B hotkey to bookmark the current frequency.
- Transmit and dual‑watch controls appear only on hardware that supports them (hidden for RTL‑SDR / WAV / receive‑only sources).
- UI polish: readable help glyphs, larger lock icons, and side‑panel scroll no longer nudges sliders it passes over.

Grab a matching client + server pair — a mixed v0.1.4/v0.1.5 pair will misbehave.
