Rigflow v0.1.4 — Voice keyer, receive notch/blanker, and a smoother waterfall

First feature release since v0.1.0 (v0.1.1–v0.1.3 were client-only fixes).

▎ ⚠️ Upgrade the client and server together. This release changes the client↔server media framing (waterfall packets) and adds a control-plane field, so a new client needs a new server and vice-versa — a
▎ mismatched pair misbehaves (e.g. the waterfall stops updating). The Linux server and the Linux/macOS client binaries below are all v0.1.4; install the matching pair.

Receive

  • Auto-notch and noise blanker. Auto-notch nulls steady carriers and heterodynes (that tuner-upper whistle) while leaving speech intact; the noise blanker knocks down impulse noise like ignition and power-line
    clicks. Both are in the Receive section with an enable + level and "Restore Default"; remembered per radio.
  • Changing the sample rate now behaves. The spectrum/waterfall span rescales to the new rate and the station you're listening to stays in view — previously a lower sample rate could drop the signal off the
    edge of the display.

Operating

  • SSB voice keyer. Record a short clip from your microphone (e.g. a CQ call), preview it through your speakers, then transmit it on the current frequency with one click — with an Abort button, a hard time
    limit, and automatic un-keying as safeguards. Clips are stored per operator. One clip, single-shot per press.
  • RX audio recording. Record the audio you're hearing to a WAV file (per operator) — handy for logging a QSO or capturing a signal. Start/Stop in Source Control.
  • Click-and-drag tuning. Grab the spectrum or waterfall and drag to sweep frequency; flick and release and it keeps gliding, then coasts to a stop. Works on both displays and all radios.

Display & network

  • Smoother waterfall over WiFi. Waterfall rows are split into smaller network packets, so a single lost packet no longer drops a whole row — far fewer dropouts and less stutter on busy or wireless links.
  • Adjustable waterfall frame rate. A new slider (0–30 Hz, 0 = off) trades waterfall smoothness for bandwidth/CPU on a constrained link; remembered per operator and radio.
  • Latency panel readability. The receive buffer-health line is now easier to read.

Install

Prebuilt binaries below: Linux server + client (x86-64 and ARM64 / Raspberry Pi) and the macOS (Apple Silicon) client. Verify with SHA256SUMS. The macOS client is unsigned — see the installation guide
(docs/installation.md) for the one-time Gatekeeper step. Building from source is also supported.
