More languages, plus charging and CLI fixes
What's new
- Six more languages. WhatCable now speaks German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese and Norwegian Bokmål, on top of English, Italian, Polish, Armenian and Simplified Chinese. Choose one under Settings > Language, or leave it on System Default.
What's fixed
-
The bundled translations now load. They shipped in the previous update but macOS was not recognising them, so the new languages never showed up. The bundle declares them properly now and they appear in the language picker.
-
MagSafe no longer shows a stuck "3W charger". WhatCable now prefers the real system adapter wattage over a low Brick ID value, and shows "Plugged in · battery full" when the battery is full instead of a misleading low-watt charging line.
-
Pro works in the command-line tool. With WhatCable Pro,
whatcable --monitornow recognises your licence instead of asking you to purchase. The app and CLI share the same licence. -
whatcable --test-kitworks again. It was reporting every probe as "not found" and submitting nothing; it now finds the bundled probes and asks for consent before submitting.
Install
brew upgrade --cask whatcable, or download WhatCable.zip from this release page and drag the new .app into /Applications.
