- New setting, Settings > System > "Restart after a game" (off by default). Closing a game now takes you straight back to the library in the same session, with no restart and no loading screen. A game played from a disc gives back the memory it used and the disc stays on the shelf. Turn the setting on to get the old behaviour, where the app starts again after every game to hand all the game's memory back.
- Light gun: the aim now lands where the crosshair is. The core used a window size of 0x0 until the picture changed, so the gun always read the top left corner of the screen and Time Crisis showed "Check the GunCon connection, and point the gun at the screen". The size is now kept up to date every frame, and the position is converted over the picture that is shown.
- Light gun: the horizontal offset the GunCon needs and the interlaced line count are now applied, and a shot with the aim off the screen is reported as a shot off the screen instead of at the top left corner.
- Light gun: only the core's crosshair is drawn now (the app's own one is gone), and it hides while L2 or Square is held, because that is a shot off the screen. L2 also has the trigger effect now, like R2.
- Aspect ratio: the list is now Auto (Game Native), Stretch to Fill, 4:3, 16:9, 19:9, 20:9, 21:9, 16:10, PAR 1:1 and Custom. Stretch to Fill, 21:9 and 16:10 are new and work with the widescreen hack. "Corrected (Region Native)" is gone. Your saved choice keeps working, and the default is still 4:3.
- Aspect ratio: the chosen ratio is no longer forced to the game's own while a light gun is plugged in, so 16:9, 21:9 and the others work with Time Crisis too.
- Playing from a disc or copying it to storage now offers Continue or Start over when the game has an exit save, instead of starting straight away.
- In Details (Triangle) on the shelf, hold L3 to delete the game's exit save. It shows next to Play when the game has one, with the same progress bar as deleting the game's files.
- A disc without a serial number now finds its exit save on the shelf entry that is left when the game closes; before, the Delete save option only appeared after starting the game again.
- Library: the scan that follows an NFS mount runs on its own thread. The shelf keeps its games and the app stays responsive while the server lists, and the games on the share appear when it ends.
